EUROCALL is a professional association dedicated to the promulgation of innovative research, development and practice relating to the use of Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL).

EUROCALL was initiated by a group of enthusiasts in 1986 and, with the aid of European Commission funding, was set up as an official professional association in 1993, with Graham Davies (Groovy Winkler in SL) as its Founder President (1993-2000). The current President of EUROCALL is Ana Gimeno (Camilla Kondor in SL), Universidad Polit├ęcnica de Valencia, Spain. EUROCALL's website is at:

A EUROCALL conference is held in August/September annually in a European country, and is open to anyone interested in language learning and teaching with the use of new technologies. Delegates to the conference must be current members of EUROCALL or one of its affiliated associations.
